Terms & Conditions - The Plank Interiors

Welcome to The Plank Architects & Interiors. By engaging our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. General Terms

  • All designs, drawings, 3D renders, and related documents are the intellectual property of The Plank and may not be reproduced, copied, or used for any purpose without prior written consent.
  • The company reserves the right to revise, update, or discontinue services, policies, and pricing without prior notice.
  • All communication regarding projects will be documented via official emails/app/WhatsApp messages for transparency.

2. Payments & Milestones

  • Confirmation Advance: 10% of estimated project value, payable at the 1st Design Presentation.
  • 2D & Production Initiation Fee: 70% of estimated project value, payable at Final 3D Signoff prior to production.
  • Shutter Dispatch Fee: 15% of estimated project value, payable before dispatch to site.
  • Final Payment: Must be cleared within 2 weeks of project completion. Delay in final payment will void warranty.
  • Any payment delays will proportionally affect the delivery timelines.

3. Project Execution

  • Timeline commitments are subject to client approvals, timely payments, and site readiness.
  • Snag works (minor touch-ups and corrections) are standard in interiors and do not qualify as project delays.
  • Client-requested modifications after design closure will be treated as additional scope of work and billed separately.
  • Site access, permissions, and basic utilities (water, electricity, lift access) are to be provided by the client.

4. Warranty

  • The Plank provides warranty against manufacturing defects only, as per the warranty letter shared at handover.
  • Warranty does not cover damages arising from misuse, improper handling, water seepage, electrical faults, or third-party interventions.
  • Warranty is valid only if all payments are cleared within stipulated timelines.

5. Client Responsibilities

  • The client must provide accurate information, drawings, and approvals within agreed timelines.
  • If the client stays in the property during work or engages external vendors at the site, The Plank will not be responsible for any delays.
  • Delays caused due to non-availability of site, restricted working hours, or lack of approvals will not be attributed to The Plank.

6. Cancellation & Refund Policy

As per The Plank's Interior Service Cancellation Process:

  • A. Zero Initiation (Before Any Work Begins): 100% refund.
  • B. Primary Phase Initiation (Site Survey Measurement & AutoCAD Layout):
    • Site Survey & Full Measurement: Rs 3,000
    • Furniture Layout: Rs 1,000
  • C. Preliminary Phase Initiation (Architect Site Visit & Mood Board Presentation):
    • Designer’s Site Visit: Rs 1,500
    • Mood Board Concept Presentation: Rs 1,000
  • D. Further Stage of Works:
    • 3D Snips: Rs 600/view
    • 3D Renders: Rs 900/view
    • Revised 3D Renders: Rs 400/view
    • Quotation & Discussions: Rs 1,000/set of quote
    • Designer Meeting (Virtual): Rs 1,000/meeting
    • Designer Meeting (In-Person): Rs 2,000/meeting
    • Material Selection: Rs 1,500/session
    • Pre-Sales Stage Support: Rs 5,000/lump sum

Refund Processing: Approved refunds will be processed within 15-20 business days from the date of confirmation.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • The Plank shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Maximum liability is limited to the fees received for the project in question.

8. Dispute Resolution

  • All disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Chennai, India courts.
